Long-Term Consequences

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget forecasts that current tax and budget proposals could decrease the Social Security Trust Fund by $2.3 trillion over ten years, potentially leading to automatic cuts in Social Security benefits by 33% beginning in 2035.
